The Must Haves: Fall Trends you can buy at H&M

Friday, August 31, 2018

Shopping for the latest trends is definitely fun, but can get expensive when you’re not sure of the longevity of the piece.

Like you, I’ve been on online browsing and checking out stores to figure out which trends I’ll be buying for the season. And, like you, I want to buy as much as possible without going broke. That’s the magic of high street stores. There you can find plenty of options that are inspired by the runway at an affordable price. I also think its worth shopping more in the high street because of the improvement in quality. I’ve spent twice as much on items from higher priced brands, and have thrown them out after a few washes. You have to be a smart shopper in knowing your materials, comparing prices, and most importantly if you love the item!

Because at the end of the day, if you love the blouse just buy the damn blouse!

BRAND IN FOCUS

Today on #BellesReveries I’m sharing with you some of my favourite pieces from H&M for fall 2018. H&M is known for it’s contemporary and trendy pieces that are extremely affordable with a decent quality of material. I’ve chosen three trends for the fall season, and have curated a few items in each category.

Whether you’re looking to inject some of these trends into accessories or key items in your wardrobe, there are plenty of options here to inspire you for your next shopping trip!

I also wanted to take this moment to tell you that I have created a newsletter designed specifically for fall trends! If you’re unsure of everything that happened on the runways, my newsletter highlights all of the key trends for fall 2018. Along with this, I also included a few of my favourite items that you’ll need to build a capsule wardrobe that will carry you for season after season.

By signing up below, you’ll get free access to this newsletter that comes with a specially designed shopping guide for the season.

Now, let’s get back into the my favourite H&M pieces for fall 2018!

TREND #1: ANIMAL PRINT

It’s bold, but it’s probably one of the biggest trends that we’ve seen already in the transition from summer to fall. Whether it’s leopard print, “snakeskin”, animal print is key for fall 2018!

Styling Tip: Head to toe animal print may seem a tad too outrageous, because I want to add some interest to my outfit, not become the animal itself. Which means, small infusions into your everyday outfits is the simplest way to try without fail.

TREND #2: PLAID

Plaid in the fall is like florals in the spring, obvious but necessary. Whenever I wear plaid, it brings a sense of nostalgia from my high school years. It also makes me feel like I could be walking the streets of London, sipping on a hot cup of tea, and enjoying a great novel. Either way, plaid is a classic print that done with the right piece just hits all the right notes in fashion. For this season, it’s all about menswear.

TREND #3: FALL TIME BOHEMIAN

When you think of bohemian inspired fashion, you normally think of the summer months. Well, this year, boho is getting a makeover to stay relevant this fall. Deeper florals, delicate lace, and very inspired by Little House on the Prairie.

Styling Tip: To try the trend without looking like Anne of Green Gables it’s all about balance. Pairing delicate blouses with denim or adding more of an edge by wearing deep florals with a leather jacket. These are just a few examples of how you can have a balanced yet on trend outfit!
